I was in Amsterdam for a trade show last year. After a long hard day I was knackered. Looking only for a simple meal I found this place by chance. Within minutes I was delighted - the atmosphere and the friendly staff made me feel comfortable. Then the food came and I just felt better. A year later I was back again. Same story. This place is like a your favourite jeans, a pair of old boots or a tweed jacket. It just slips on comfortably. There are better restaurants, there are more sophisticated restaurants but this a place with a wonderful atmosphere and food that you can enjoy and that makes you feel good. The staff (last year and this year) are gems.
